As a key member of the Dulye & Co. team, Bev Pierce brings 30 years’ experience leading internal and external communications programs at multinational corporations in the automotive, aerospace, chemical, construction products and heavy-transportation industries. She brings a disciplined, process-oriented approach based on the principles of “plan, implement, measure, improve” to every project, whether it’s the development of a comprehensive communication plan tied to business objectives, or more tactical assignments.

Prior to joining Dulye & Co., Bev lead corporate communications at AlliedSignal’s largest business unit, Automotive Braking Systems, where she developed internal and leadership communications strategies in support of major business transformation and performance initiatives, including Six Sigma execution. When the Braking Systems business was acquired by Robert Bosch Corp., Bev was a key player on the transition team, planning and implementing both initial and follow-up communication to employees, customers, community leaders and other key audiences.

Bev has held leadership positions in Corporate Communications at Libbey-Owens-Ford, the North American division of global glassmaker Pilkington PLC; Hendrickson International, a privately held manufacturer of truck and trailer suspension systems; and Tower Automotive. She began her professional career at the Canadian subsidiary of The BFGoodrich Company, where, as a junior public-relations staffer, one early assignment involved a visit to a local dairy farm for a photo shoot depicting the protective qualities of one of the company’s lesser-known products:  cow mats.

Fortunately (and perhaps on the strength of that assignment), Bev was soon offered the opportunity to join the communications team at BFG’s corporate headquarters in Ohio, as editor of the company’s nationally recognized employee magazine. She subsequently held several positions in Public Relations and was a key member of the team that developed and executed the communication strategies for the sale of the BFG tire business in the mid-1980s and several other major corporate restructuring moves. For several years Bev was the corporate public relations manager for BFG, handling national media relations and financial communications, including the development and production of the company’s annual report to shareholders.

An award-winning writer, Bev holds a BA in political science from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. She lives in the Chicago area and enjoys hosting friends and family at her century-old home and introducing them to the city’s cultural, culinary and recreational attractions. In addition to cows, she also has worked with dogs and chickens.
